My name is Michael Alwood. I am a professional web designer, currently living in beautiful Sonoma County, California. I started my own business after working a full-time position at a corporation as a web designer and webmaster.
Education and qualifications
I attended Santa Rosa Junior College for Web Design. They are one of the top schools in the US for computer science and web design.
I also completed a two day course in Search Engine Optimization at Bruce Clay Internet Business Consultants.
In the workplace
After finishing the program I was already employed at Auric Blends as a business manager and re-designed their site.
The success of the project opened the door for a new position in management for which my role included web design, graphic design, search engine optimization, online marketing and ecommerce development. I was the Webmaster and Web manager for five years.
